It's been about 8 weeks since I introduced you to The Noteworthy. I've been really flattered by the positive response The Noteworthy has received so far. Strangers have checked out the site and deemed it shareworthy enough to tweet about it. Other influencers in the city have included The Noteworthy on their blogs (thanks to Mack Male, Karen Unland and Poppy Barley!). I'm seriously humbled every time someone thinks it's worth mentioning, and thank you to those who have. Please keep spreading the word and stopping by once in a while to see what The Noteworthy's been up to!
I started this with selfish intentions: I want to meet all of the interesting people in the city. I started with friends of mine and have started to branch out to some I don't know. What's been fun to learn is that everyone is so approachable. People talk about Edmonton being a great place to start a business or project. It's true. It's so easy to make connections and find resources (i.e. people) that can help you. I live by the old adage "ask and you shall receive," which really rings true when it comes to building/doing anything in Edmonton.
I have so many great ideas for where The Noteworthy can go. I want to hear from you, my cheerleaders, what you want to read about. Who do you want to meet? What places do you want to learn about? What questions would you ask? What do you like or dislike so far? Any ideas, send them my way! You can comment on this post, tweet at me (@The_Noteworthy) or send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org). I'm really happy to hear from you, and I'm open to new possibilities with The Noteworthy.
My favourite part has been the notes people make. It's already shaping up to be quite the collection of wise words, quotes and drawings. I love the sneak peek into people's creative minds. Everyone's story and recommendations are worth reading, so make sure you go back through everyone on the blog if you missed them.
